1 person seriously injured in Scarborough stabbing

One person was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries following a stabbing on Dec. 25 in Scarborough, say paramedics.

The incident happened at a residence at 1470 Midland Ave., just north of Lawrence Avenue East.

Toronto police said they were called to that area for a stabbing just before 8:30 p.m.

Police said officers at the scene found a male with lacerations.

The victim was transported by paramedics to a trauma centre.

The investigation is ongoing.
