Firefighters battled 30-foot flames as a large blaze engulfed two homes in a Scarborough neighbourhood on Saturday.
Emergency crews responded to a large house fire in the Aylesworth and Heale avenues area sometime after 8 p.m.
High flames were reported as the blaze spread to an adjacent house.
Police shut down Midland Avenue from Hagley Road to Park Street as firefighters tried to extinguish the flames.
The TTC said over Twitter that the 57 Midland bus was being diverted in both directions as police investigated.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
One of the houses affected is believed to be under construction.
