With the kids on their way back to school and vacation season almost over, this weekend will be all about enjoying what’s left of the summer.

Here’s a list of things you can do to get outside and enjoy what might one of the last warm weekends of the year.

BuskerFest

Buskerfest is an annual gathering of street performers from around the world who come to Toronto to show off their talents. This year’s festival features 170 entertainers including magicians, comedians, dancers, acrobats and much more.

When: Aug. 23 - 30

Summer Music in the Garden presents ‘Silk and Bamboo’ 

The Silk String Trio performs Chinese music dating from the Qing Dynasty to the current era. The trio is made up of three Toronto-based musicians.

When: Aug. 30 at 4 p.m.

Location: Toronto Music Garden, 479 Queens Quay West

Cost: Free

Canadian National Exhibition 

The CNE offers 18 days of live entertainment, amusement park rides, food, shopping and more. The festival also features the Canadian International Air Show, where spectators get a chance to watch pilots perform a variety of stunts and synchronized manoeuvres.

When: Aug. 21 to Sept. 7

Best of Weston Festival

This festival is celebrates the diversity and offerings of Weston Village, a community located in north-west Toronto. This year’s festival will feature a “Weston Idol” talent competition and a waterpark-themed kids’ zone.

When: Aug. 29 from 12 to 6 p.m.

Location: Little Avenue Memorial Park at Weston Road and Little Avenue

Cost: Free
