WATERLOO, Ont. -- Police in Waterloo, Ont., say 10 people have been arrested in a multijurisdictional child exploitation investigation.

They say the arrests came as a result of 12 search warrants carried out in the area between Sept. 18 and Oct. 1.

During the searches, police say they seized electronic devices, firearms and drugs.

Police did not indicate how many charges were laid against the 10 people, but said those arrested range in age from 19 to 63.

Two are facing drug-related offences, but police say most of the charges relate to the making, accessing or possession of child pornography.

Police say they anticipate laying more charges.
