TORONTO -- Police say two suspects are in custody in connection with a fatal stabbing in St. Catharines, Ont.

Niagara Regional police say charges are pending for two local men, ages 24 and 26.

They say there does not appear to be any risk to the public at this time.

Police say homicide detectives are scouring two crime scenes in the city linked to the stabbing, which took place just before midnight Monday.

They say a 30-year-old man was found critically injured and died in hospital.

Police are urging anyone with information on the incident to come forward.
