Three lanes of the Niagara-bound Queen Elizabeth Way are closed after a tractor trailer crashed into a guardrail on Thursday afternoon.

The truck hit the guardrail and spilled its load across three lanes on a stretch of the highway just before the Burlington Skyway. The closure is affecting the lanes through Burlington to Bronte Road.

While the crashed caused a backup in the Niagara-bound lanes, cars are still able to access the QEW by driving on the highway's right shoulder.

One Toronto-bound left lane is also closed at the bottom of the bridge.

More to come.
