A Toronto police officer is facing a sex assault charge after an incident earlier this week.
Police say the officer was at a woman's home on Wednesday when the alleged assault occurred.
The officer wasn't on duty at the time. The officer works out of 52 Division and has four years service with the Toronto police.
The woman involved has not been named.
Const. Richard Akunyilli, 35, will appear at a College Park courtroom on Monday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m.
