It will be another frustrating weekend for drivers wanting to get downtown through a maze of road closures.
The 13th annual Toronto International Marathon, taking place Sunday, will close down local streets from 3:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The marathon will start behind Mel Lastman Square in North York, on Beecroft Avenue promptly at 9 a.m.
Drivers along the route should expect delays or should consider taking public transportation.
This is the route the marathon will follow:
- north to Park Home Road to Yonge Street
- south on Yonge Street to Chaplin Crescent
- west on Chaplin Crescent to Oriole Parkway
- south on Oriole Parkway to Lonsdale Road
- west on Lonsdale Road to Spadina Road
- south on Spadina Road around Casa Loma to Macpherson Avenue
- east on MacPherson Avenue to Davenport Road
- east on Belmont Street to Yonge Street
- south on Aylmer Road to Rosedale Valley Road
- south on Bayview Avenue to King Street
- east on Sumach Street to Eastern Avenue
- west on Eastern Avenue to Front Street
- west on Wellington Street and continue to University Avenue
- south on University to York Street through to Queen's Quay
- west on Queen's Quay to Remembrance Drive
- along Aquatic Drive and Martin Goodman Trail to just east of the Humber River
- follow trail back to York Street
- north on University to the finish line at Queen's Park
