TORONTO -- Police have charged three men in connection with a string of armed robberies earlier this year in Toronto.

Investigators say between Feb. 18 and June 1 robbers held up a barber shop, bank, jewellery store and cellphone shop.

Police say they wore disguises and used a gun in the heists, making off with an unspecified amount of money in each incident.

Three suspects from Toronto in their early 20s were arrested last Thursday and Friday.

Twenty-two year old Erick Reid, 21-year-old Everton Downey and 21-year-old Jahvell McCoy face a total of 45 charges, including robbery while armed with a firearm, disguise with intent and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Reid also faces four drug charges and a single count of possession of proceeds of crime.
