OAKVILLE, Ont - Two Oakville men are facing charges following a joint police investigation into a string of nighttime pharmacy robberies in the Greater Toronto Area.

Halton and Peel regional police say they gathered evidence over several months into 23 pharmacy break-ins in which highly addictive drugs were stolen.

They say about $500,000 worth of narcotics were taken during the break-ins in Halton, Peel, Barrie, Toronto, Hamilton, Waterloo and Guelph.

Investigators say they seized a large amount of drugs during two early-morning raids Thursday.

They say a nine-year-old child was found sleeping in a bed directly above the stolen drugs in a hotel room in Oakville.

David Frampton, 39, and Stephen Bond, 40, are facing a number of charges, including 23 counts of breaking and entering.

Erin Contini, 39, is also facing charges of possession of stolen property and is scheduled to appear in Milton court on Nov. 21.

Frampton and Bond are expected to appear in Milton court for a bail hearing Friday.
