A teenager is facing charges after a Toronto man was beaten and stabbed in Owen Sound.
Police said the 42-year-old victim was initially attacked by a woman. When the man called for help, four men began to assault him.
The victim was punched, kicked, hit with a two-by-four and stabbed in the chest.
Nineteen-year-old Shawn Dyer of Owen Sound has been charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.
Police expect to make more arrests in the case soon.
A local taxi driver, who was carrying a passenger at the time, drove the man to the hospital.
The passenger, Monica Solomon, said she and the cab driver just happened to be at the right place at the right time.
