One person was injured after an SUV crashed through the window of a downtown coffee shop early Monday morning.

Toronto police said the SUV crashed through the window of a Second Cup at Adelaide Street and University Avenue shortly before 7:30 a.m.

Toronto police said two vehicles were involved in the incident, which sent one barreling off the road and into the building.

The vehicle was seen with its front bumper inside the shop following the accident. A hydro pole was also knocked down.

Toronto EMS said one person was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
