Police have released security camera images of a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting investigation in the Bathurst and Wellington streets area.

According to investigators, a dispute between two men escalated in front of a 24-hour diner around 3 a.m. on Saturday.

It is alleged that the suspect shot the victim in the leg outside of the Thompson Diner.

Police said the suspect then fled the area.

The suspect has been described as a 25 to 35-year-old male between five-foot-eight and five-foot-ten with a medium build, short dark hair and a groomed chinstrap beard.

At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing a black spring jacket with a white shirt underneath and dark pants.

Police have released security camera images in an effort to identify the suspect.
