Morning commuters took to Twitter to share the story of a masked bandit that tried to hop a Toronto subway train during rush hour.
Several photos and videos were posted of a raccoon trying to ride a subway train from Spadina Station at approximately 8 a.m. on Tuesday.

One photo showed the nocturnal critter peeking into a woman's bag, while a video showed the raccoon sniffing the feet of fellow subway riders.

The train was stopped at the station until the raccoon got off the train and sauntered down the platform and into the subway tunnel.

"We had about a 4 minute delay," TTC spokesperson Brad Ross told CTV Toronto.
"I have no idea how it got on the train."
