Peel Regional Police allegedly fired on a vehicle as it drove at a group of officers on Vodden Street East, near Main Street North, at about 10:50 p.m.

The driver suffered a gunshot wound to his upper body as he fled the scene.

A man suffering from a gunshot wound later checked in to Credit Valley Hospital and was transferred to St. Michael's Hospital for treatment. He remains in hospital under police guard.
