York Regional Police and two partners have offered a $10,000 reward for a suspect in the robbery of six financial institutions in the past two years.

The robberies have been committed in Whitchurch-Stouffville, Oshawa and Belleville, according to a news release.

"In all six of the robberies, the suspect enters the branch, produces a note indicating he is armed and demands money," it said.

"However a weapon has never been seen. Investigators believe these robberies were committed by the same suspect."

The Canadian Bankers Association and Central 1 Credit Union are partnering with police.
