Reports of gunfire lead to a brief closure of the Queen Elizabeth Way in Oakville Friday afternoon, but Halton Police have since confirmed no shots were fired.
According to reports, a man claimed that a window of his vehicle had been shot out at around 2:10 p.m. near Burloak Drive and Lakeshore Road in Oakville.
The man drove the vehicle to a plaza at New Street and Walkers Line in Burlington where he was interviewed by police.
Meanwhile, another vehicle was stopped on the westbound Queen Elizabeth Way near Walkers Line and three occupants of that vehicle were interviewed by police.
Three people are in custody in relation to the incident and the Oakville Criminal Investigations Bureau is continuing its investigation.
No injuries were reported.
