Toronto police are searching for a man who tried to rob a TTC passenger at knifepoint while on board a bus.

Police said they were called to Victoria Park Station on the evening of Nov. 20.

A man approached another person on the bus and allegedly pulled out a knife. Police said the man then threatened the person in an attempt to rob them.

However, officers said he was unable to obtain anything and shortly got off the bus.

On Thursday, investigators released a photo of the suspect who is described as between 30 to 40 years old, five-foot-10, weighs 165 pounds with brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a black toque, brown jacket, grey sweater, black shirt, blue jeans and a black backpack.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 416-808-5500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477) or www.222tips.com.
