Police have announced the arrest of a second suspect in connection with a weekend sexual assault that originated at an Annex bar.

The individual surrendered to police Tuesday morning, Toronto Police said in a news release on Tuesday.

On Saturday at 2:30 a.m., a woman left a bar in the Annex with two men, who drove her to an apartment in the Dufferin Street and Bloor Street West area.

Police allege that the two men sexually assaulted her, then drove her to a location in the Dufferin Street and Geary Avenue area in a different vehicle. The woman reported being repeatedly hit by one of her alleged assailants.

The assailants removed her from the car and left her beside the road. A TTC bus driver stopped to give her assistance.

Police arrested a suspect on Sunday. They charged Nicholas Vozgenikov, 20, of Toronto with sexual assault and assault causing bodily harm.

The second suspect, a 19-year-old from Toronto, has been charged with sexual assault. He had an initial court appearance on Tuesday morning.
