Toronto police have identified and issued an arrest warrant for a suspect in the stabbing death of a man early Sunday.

Police issued a Canada-wide warrant for Joseph King, 44, in connection with the death of Andre Paquet.

King is described as white, about six-feet tall and 200 pounds.

Police say Paquet, 45, was stabbed during an argument in the fourth-floor hallway of his apartment building in the Kingston Road and Dundas Street East area.

Police were called shortly after 9:30 a.m. for "unknown trouble" at 17 Edgewood Avenue, Staff Sgt. Bob Skinner told CTV.ca.

They found the victim. Paramedics took Paquet to St. Michael's Hospital, where he died around 10:30 a.m.

Police originally sought two suspects, a man and a woman, who witnesses saw fleeing the scene.

Paquet is the city's 40th homicide victim.
