Toronto police have closed a couple of downtown streets over concerns that debris could fall from a highrise hotel.

Bay Street has been closed between Richmond and King streets, and Adelaide Street has been closed at York Street over concerns that glass could fall from the Trump hotel, located on the southeast corner of Bay and Adelaide streets.

No glass has come down yet, police said.

There was no immediate word on how long the closures could last.

The TTC's 6 Bay buses are diverting around the Bay Street closure.
