PELHAM, Ont. -- The body of a man has been discovered in a provincial park south of St. Catharines, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police say they are treating the death in Short Hills Provincial Park near Pelham, Ont., as suspicious, but add that the cause and manner of death are not yet known.

An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted Friday at Hamilton Health Sciences Centre.

The OPP adds there is no evidence to connect this death to the ongoing search for 22-year-old Shawn Kapadia of Mississauga, Ont., who has been missing since July 5.

The investigation has led to an apartment in Toronto, where police believe he was killed, and to a house southwest of Niagara Falls, where Kapadia's car was found several days later.
