Toronto police are appealing to the public for information that will lead to the identification of a vehicle driven by a suspect involved in a fatal shooting of two men.

The incident happened Sept. 29, 2010, in the Rexdale area.

Courthney Facey, 18, was found in a side laneway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, Mike James, was found nearby. The 23-year-old suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries.

In a press release issued last year, police said both Toronto men were standing together near 1765 Weston Rd. when a black BMW X5 SUV drove by them. Shot were fired from the driver side of the vehicle, police said. At least two people, including the shooter, were inside the SUV.

Police were called about the incident at approximately 10:20 p.m. Video surveillance of the area captured the vehicle driving southbound on Weston Road, approximately 30 minutes before the shooting.

Immediately after the incident, police said the vehicle drove northbound on Weston Road. The SUV is captured last on surveillance going northbound on Islington Avenue, from Highway 401.

From the videos, police said the SUV has silver running boards, five-spoke rims, a roof rack, a sun roof and is a 2000 to 2006 model vehicle.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. for Facey and James at 1798 Weston Rd.
