An employee of a Toronto pest control company is facing charges after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted while her apartment was treated for pests.
The woman told police she called for a pest control company to come to her apartment in the area of Woodbine Avenue and O’Connor Drive to treat it for pests.
She said a male employee of the company showed up at her home on Oct. 22 and applied the treatment for her pest problem.
The woman alleges the employee sexually assaulted her while inside her apartment.
Police arrested a suspect three days later in connection with their investigation.
A suspect identified as 45-year-old Toronto-resident Amer Javed has been charged with one count of sexual assault.
He was scheduled to make an appearance in court on Oct. 25.
