Paramedics say a Toronto police officer is being transported to hospital with minor injuries after he was struck by a vehicle in Yorkville this morning.
It happened near Bloor and Yonge streets at around 7:30 a.m.
Police say the officer was on a paid duty assignment at the time and it appears the vehicle involved remained at the scene.
The eastbound lanes of Bloor Street were closed at Yonge Street as investigators probed the scene but have since reopened.
