A mother from Mississauga, Ont., will be in court Monday to face a murder charge in connection with the death of her autistic son, police say.

Police say that 15-year-old Tony Khor was found dead at a hotel on Edwards Boulevard, which is near Hurontario Street and Derry Road., on Sunday.

The body had "obvious signs of trauma," according to Peel Regional Police.

Const. J.P. Valade told ctvtoronto.ca that the suspect and the boy checked into the Homewood Suites Hotel Saturday evening after an argument at the family home.

"The mother ... and the father of the victim, they were involved in a verbal domestic argument," he said.

Valade added that the boy died sometime between the check-in and Sunday morning. He added that the boy's father has been notified of the death.

Seow Cheng Sim will appear in a Brampton courtroom on Monday on a charge of first-degree murder.
