THOUSAND ISLANDS, Ont. -- Provincial police say a small seaplane crashed on the St. Lawrence River near Thousand Islands National Park on Wednesday afternoon.
OPP say the crash happened at about 11:45 a.m. east of Kingston, Ont., and that there was only the pilot on board.
Police spokeswoman Const. Judy King says the pilot was rescued from the plane by bystanders who were also on the water.
She says the pilot's injuries are minor.
King says investigators are looking into the cause of the crash.
