TORONTO - A Toronto man is facing 61 fraud charges after allegedly scamming his family members and close friends out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Thirty-eight-year-old Mike Diguilo allegedly ran a bogus investment scam while pretending to hold down a job as an airline pilot.

Police say he often left the house wearing a pilot's uniform and also pretended to be a professional European soccer player.

Police also say Diguilo's family has amassed huge debts as a result of the scam.
