An 80-year-old man is dead after a seven-vehicle collision on Highway 401 in Mississauga on Saturday night.
Ontario Provincial Police say the vehicles collided in the eastbound collector lanes of Highway 401 at Dixie Road around 6 p.m. Saturday.
Three others suffered minor injuries, Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said.
The crash prompted the closure of the eastbound collector lanes for about five hours as crews cleaned up the scene and police conducted an investigation.
The southbound Highway 410 ramp onto the eastbound collector lanes of Highway 401 was also closed.
