Two people have minor injuries after glass shattered and fell from the penthouse level of the downtown Four Seasons Hotel, Toronto Fire says.
According to emergency crews, a male and female suffered minor injuries. Toronto Fire say the two people may have gotten glass in their eyes.
When the glass fell, witnesses say they scrambled from the area saying it was “like a waterfall of glass.”
“We just saw people moving around, stuff falling and then everyone coming out of the hotel was wearing hard hats,” one witness said.
Shortly following the incident, the hotel issued a statement saying that they “take this matter very seriously and vow to resolve any problems.”
The area in front of the Yorkville hotel has been shut down as police continue to investigate.
