The biggest concentration of customers waiting to be reconnected is in the Haliburton area, which lost power overnight because of broken equipment in Minden, Ont.
Others remain without power after a windstorm ripped through the province on Christmas Eve.
At its peak, this week's outages affected nearly 100,000 customers.
