HAMILTON -- Investigators in Hamilton say a police officer has been charged with forging documents.
They allege a man who has been a member of the Hamilton Police Service for 18 years falsely signed administrative documents.
They say the incidents happened between Nov. 30, 2017 and July 22, 2018.
Darren Smith, 42, has been charged with two counts of forging documents and two counts of using forged documents.
Police say he's been suspended from duty and was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
