Hamilton police say a homicide case dating back to 2013 has been closed after the main suspect was found dead.
Police say 51-year-old Michael Sullivan was chased down and struck by a truck in July 2013 and died of his injuries several months later.
In March the following year, a suspect was arrested, but there wasn't enough evidence to convict him so he was released and officers continued investigating.
Since then, police have periodically released updates and appeals for information in the case.
Investigators now say that the unnamed suspect was recently found dead.
They thanked everyone who came forward to "provide (Sullivan's) family with the answers they deserved."
