Police are investigating a fatal crash in Markham Thursday afternoon that has claimed the life of a male driver.
Police were called to the scene shortly after 3:20 p.m. for a collision between a vehicle and a dump truck at the intersection of Major MacKenzie Drive East and The Bridle Walk.
York Regional Police have not released details about the victim, but said he died of his injuries.
Police said the driver of the dump truck did not suffer any injuries and the collision reconstruction unit is investigating.
Meanwhile, police said Major Mackenzie Drive East is closed from Kennedy to McCowan Roads.
