An Etobicoke woman had her car stolen and was sexually assaulted at gunpoint before being doused with gasoline by the alleged robbers, police say.

The woman was attacked shortly after dropping her husband off at a subway station at 7:30 a.m. Sunday. Two masked male suspects jumped in the car and allegedly assaulted her.

She managed to make it home and call police. She was treated at a local hospital.

Her car, a silver Chevy Cavalier, was recovered Sunday afternoon at the Woodbine Racetrack.

The carjacking comes one day after an elderly woman was robbed of her car outside the Woodbine Centre, a mall at Highway 27 and Rexdale Boulevard.

The woman was approached by two male suspects as she walked towards her vehicle, parked outside the Bay at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

She told police the suspects were armed with a handgun. They allegedly grabbed the keys from her hand, knocking her to the ground in the process.

The suspects ran over her hands as they sped away in her car, police said.

Police are still looking for the senior's car, described as a 2003 four-door, silver Mercedes. The licence plate number is AZYB 209.

Anyone with information on either of these cases is being asked to call 22 Division at 416-808-2222 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS.
