WHITBY, Ont. - Police are searching for a missing patient of Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences in Whitby, Ont.
Durham police say the 24-year-old man did not return from a scheduled day pass on Monday night.
The man is diagnosed with schizophrenia and requires daily medication.
Police say Alexander Nolan was found not criminally responsible due to his illness in the death of a family member in 2003.
Nolan is described as white, 5-foot-10, with short brown hair.
Police say members of the public should not approach Nolan if they spot him.
