Thirty-six vehicles were broken into at the underground parking garage of an apartment building in North York.

Police said the vehicles were broken into Wednesday at 335 Van Horne Avenue, which is located north of Highway 401 and Highway 404.

Residents making plans to get their car windows replaced Wednesday afternoon said there wasn’t even much of value in their vehicles.

One victim said she had sunglasses stolen.

Joseph Ahmen, another victim, said the thieves who smashed his windows got a couple rolls of change that he uses for laundry.

Ahmen said the garage door had been broken for approximately a week, and had been scheduled to be fixed Wednesday.

It was the second set of break-ins in the area this week, according to police. Sixteen vehicles were targeted on Cassandra Boulevard on Tuesday. It’s not clear whether the cases are related.

Police are investigating.
