TORONTO - Canada's tallest structure will be glowing orange from sundown Saturday until sunrise Sunday in honour of Jack Layton.

A CN Tower official says the downtown Toronto tourist attraction will be lit with the colours of the NDP leader's party to coincide with his funeral.

The service is set to take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto.

Layton died of cancer at his Toronto home early Monday morning at the age of 61.

A social media campaign to turn the tower orange was launched following his death.

His body is lying in state on Parliament Hill today and his casket will then rest "in repose" at Toronto's city hall all day Friday.
