Peel Regional Police have charged a Bolton woman with first-degree-murder after they found a dead 18-month-old boy in a car Friday morning in Mississauga.

"It is alleged this is a domestic-related homicide," the service said in a news release.

The case is Peel Region's sixth homicide of 2009.

A post-mortem examination is expected in the next few days. "The cause of death will not be released, as it will be evidentiary in nature," police said.

Sgt. Zahir Shah told ctvtoronto.ca earlier that police were notified about the body at 7:40 a.m., which was located in a vehicle parked at the Mississauga Executive Centre, across the highway from the Square One Shopping Centre at 1 Robert Speck Parkway.

The accused -- Nadine Bernard, 34 -- would be appearing at the Ontario Court of Justice on Friday.
