TORONTO - The Toronto Blue Jays' travel plans for the rest of the season are out of limbo.

The revised itineraries for their two remaining road trips received approval from authorities Wednesday, after a dispute between Canada and the United States over charter airline flights scuttled the team's earlier plans.

"We're fine, all good for the rest of the season," said team travel manager Mike Shaw.

The Blue Jays got into trouble because they had planned to fly to Windsor, Ont., instead of straight to Detroit on Thursday, before continuing on to New York and St. Petersburg, Fla.

New Transport Canada rules prevent American charter companies from making multiple stops in Canada before heading south, a move made after the U.S. Department of Transportation put similar limitations on Canadian charters.

The Blue Jays will now fly directly to Detroit for a four-game series that starts Friday, before heading off for two games against the Yankees and three with the Rays.

Their final road trip of the season goes to Boston and Baltimore and starts Sept. 28.
