A woman has died following an incident with a riding lawnmower Tuesday evening in Milton.
Halton Region police said the 57-year-old Burlington woman was cutting the grass in a remote section of a family farm when it rolled down an embankment, flipped and trapped her underneath.
Just after 7 p.m. family members went looking for the woman and saw the mower was on top of her. One family member began resuscitation efforts, but it was too late. Emergency workers pronounced her dead on the scene when they arrived.
Police do not suspect foul play.
