Police have found the stolen vehicle they believe was involved in a Woodbridge, Ont. cafe shooting.

The black Nissan Versa was found at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, abandoned in a parking lot at 67 Westmore Dr., near Highway 27 and Albion Road in Etobicoke.

The Versa is believed to have been used by a suspect in a shooting at Moka Espresso Bar on June 24, when York Regional Police say a lone gunman walked into the café and opened fire at approximately 8:20 a.m.

Maria Voci, 47, and Christopher DeSimone, 24, were both fatally shot. Two other men were injured in the attack.

York Regional Police said the suspect was seen fleeing the area in a black compact car. The 2011 Versa, identified through security footage, had been reported as stolen prior to the shooting, police said. Officers told reporters that they believe the shooting suspect had been using the car for days.

In a statement released on Thursday, police said the vehicle was stolen from a driveway in the Town of Greater Napanee.

The suspect is still outstanding. He has been described as a 6-foot-tall black man with a muscular build.

Investigators are still asking anyone with more information on his whereabouts to contact police. He is considered armed and dangerous, and witnesses are asked to call 911 immediately.
