Police have released security camera footage showing the face of the suspect in a Woodbridge cafe shooting that left two dead and two injured.
The photos and video released clearly show the face of a suspect in the shooting, who has been described as a black, 6-foot-tall man with a muscular build.
York Regional Police released the video and three still photos on Tuesday, a week after a gunman entered the Moka Espresso Bar and opened fire on patrons inside.
A man wearing a mask entered the cafe, located on Islington Avenue near Highway 7, at approximately 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday. He shot four people before fleeing the scene in a dark-coloured compact car.
Maria Voci, 47, and Christopher DeSimone, 24, were killed in the attack. Two other men were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Police later said that the car the suspect left in was a stolen 2011 black Nissan Versa, with the licence plate number BVLW 273.
In a statement Tuesday, police reminded the public that anyone who aids or assists the suspect for the purpose of evading police or escaping will be subject to criminal charges.
They warned that the suspect is considered armed and dangerous, and that witnesses should not approach him, but call 911 immediately.
