A Toronto woman who was found dead over the weekend had suffered several serious blows to the head, police said on Tuesday.
Joanne Mitchell, 60, was found dead in a housing complex at 460 Jarvis St., near Wellesley Street, Sunday night.
A post mortem examination determined the cause of death as multiple blunt impact head injuries.
Mitchell is Toronto's sixth homicide of 2011.
