Toronto finally cooled down on Sunday after a scorching and humid week of temperatures that reached 33 C.

The heat warning, issued by Environment Canada, was lifted as Sunday brought more bearable weather with a mix of sun and clouds.

There is a 30 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon with southeast winds are expected to reach 20 kilometres per hour.

The high on Sunday is expected to be 28 C -- but the cloudier, cooler weather won’t last long.

On Monday, temperatures are expected to climb back up to 33 C with a mix of sun and clouds. The humidex will be around 37, which will cause “some discomfort” according to Environment Canada.
