Police are looking for suspects that fled the scene of a stabbing in the city's east end on Wednesday morning.

Officers were called to Victoria Park Avenue near the subway station at 11:30 a.m. Police found a man in his mid-20s suffering from a stab wound in the upper torso.

The victim was conscious, breathing and alert, and he's been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police believe there may be two other males involved in the incident. Suspects fled the scene, and were last seen heading south on Victoria Park, Toronto Police Const. Victor Kwong said.

Victoria Park was closed between Denton Avenue and Crescent Town Road while police investigated, but has since reopened.
