Toronto police are warning the public to be cautious after a shooting in the area of Morecambe Gate and Victoria Park Avenue north of Finch Ave.
Toronto paramedics say they found a man in his 20s is in serious condition after they were called to Victoria Park and Pawnee Avenue, at approximately 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Police say the incident happened at a bus shelter, and the victim stumbled into a Chinese restaurant across the street, after the shooting.
The man was shot in the back, paramedics said. He is now in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.
Police are looking for a suspect who fled on foot.
He is described as black and tall with a thin build. He was wearing dark-coloured clothing with a hood pulled over his head.
Police say the suspect is armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
