Toronto police are alerting the public after a woman reported being sexually assaulted by a cab driver after leaving the entertainment district in the early hours Sunday morning.
Police say the woman got into the cab in the Peter Street and Adelaide Street West area after leaving a nearby night club around 3 a.m.
The woman told police the driver then took her to an isolated spot in the Gerrard Street East and Clonmore Drive area, where he parked and then sexually assaulted her. The man then fled and the woman called police.
The suspect is described as a male in his late 20’s, standing five-foot-11 with a brown complexion and a medium build. The cab itself is described as a white minivan.
