Toronto police have released a composite sketch of man they are searching for after a woman was sexually assaulted in a home.

The incident happened around on May 22 around 2:30 p.m. in North York’s Deepwood Crescent and Greenland Road area.

The victim was a hired cleaner at a home that was for sale.

Police allege the suspect knocked on the door of a home and was allowed to enter to view the home.

“The suspect then attacked the victim and sexually assaulted her,” says Det. Sgt. Joanne Rudnick at police headquarters on Monday.

The man was disturbed by noises coming from outside the home and fled the scene.

The victim then fled the home and was able to call for assistance.

Det. Sgt. Joanne Rudnick says that police do not normally release details of sexual assaults but says this case is “specifically alarming.”

“This person needs to be caught, we need to arrest him,” Rudnick said.

Police say the woman was transported to hospital and was treated for minor injuries.

The man is described as white, in his mid-20s, 5-foot-8, 130 pounds, with a thin build and straight, medium-length red hair that flared out at the ears.

The suspect was wearing a faded orange T-shirt torn around the neck, cut-off blue jean shorts with frayed edges and black running shoes with white writing.
