Police charge driver travelling wrong way on Gardiner

TORONTO -- Police have charged a 23-year-old man they allege was driving the wrong way on a downtown Toronto highway this morning.
Police say they spotted a vehicle heading east in the westbound lanes of the Gardiner Expressway, near Parkside Drive, around 3:30 a.m.
They say it was travelling at roughly 60 kilometres an hour.
Tudor Alexandru Stefanescu is charged with impaired driving, driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in one hundred millilitres of blood and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
